He assessed that the circular economy-based waste management system in this market has great potential to be developed into added economic value.
“Good waste management not only solves environmental problems, but is also able to create added economic value and open up green jobs for the community,” said Jumhur.

在检查过程中，朱姆胡尔亲眼目睹了市场上已经投入运行的各种垃圾处理设施。
其中包括将有机废物加工成堆肥、青贮饲料、液体肥料和生物乙醇。同时，无机废物被加工成生物炭煤块。
他表示，这种做法表明，如果管理得当，废物可以成为经济效益的来源。
“像这样的良好做法需要得到更广泛的支持和推广，”他说。
不过，他坦言，目前的处理能力仍无法与每日垃圾量相比。
Of the around 50 tons of waste per day, around 15 tons are still stuck in the market’s Temporary Storage Places (TPS) and have the potential to pile up, especially at weekends.

According to him, this condition indicates the need to increase the capacity of facilities, infrastructure and human resources for waste management.

有机废物的主导地位被认为可以用作堆肥、发酵饲料和替代能源。同时，无机废物可以加工成煤球等固体燃料。
In the future, KLH/BPLH will encourage local governments and market managers to strengthen waste management systems based on reduction and processing at source.
