三星员工和管理层之间的主要争议集中在公司基于绩效的奖金制度上。
The union is demanding a performance bonus equivalent to 15 percent of Samsung’s operating profit, the elimination of the maximum bonus payment limit, and the formalization of the bonus structure into employment contracts.

Meanwhile, Samsung management is offering a bonus allocation of 9 percent to 10 percent of the company’s annual operating profit if this year’s revenue exceeds 200 trillion won or the equivalent of around IDR 2,362 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 11.81 per won).
不过，公司仍维持员工年薪50%的奖金上限。

Ancaman mogok kerja ini berpotensi menjadi aksi industrial terbesar dalam sejarah Samsung Electronics. Lebih dari 45.000 hingga 47.000 pekerja disebut siap ikut dalam aksi tersebut.
Serikat pekerja menyatakan aksi unjuk rasa sebelumnya pada 23 April yang diikuti sekitar 40.000 pekerja menyebabkan produksifoundrySamsung turun 58 persen dan produksi memori turun 18 persen pada hari yang sama.
Serikat pekerja memperkirakan mogok kerja selama 18 hari dapat menyebabkan kerugian sekitar 30 triliun won atau sekitar Rp 354,3 triliun bagi Samsung.
