LAMPUNG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com– The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), started his series of political safaris from Lampung Province.
Jokowi arrived at Raden Inten II Airport, Natar, South Lampung, Friday (26/6/2026), at around 11.00 WIB and was greeted by hundreds of volunteers and cadres of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
The three-day visit attracted public attention because it took place in the midst of warming national political dynamics ahead of the 2029 elections.
From Lampung, Jokowi is scheduled to tour five districts/cities with an agenda that combines political, cultural, social and religious activities.
Chairman of the South Lampung PSI DPD, Ivan Destianto, said Lampung was chosen as the starting point for Jokowi’s political safari because it has a large volunteer base and high public enthusiasm.
“Mr Jokowi’s arrival is part of a political safari as well as a friendly relationship with volunteers and the community in Lampung. We welcome him enthusiastically,” said Ivan, Friday (16/6/2026).

According to Ivan, this series of visits is not just an internal party agenda, but is also a space to strengthen communication with people in various regions.
“For three days, Mr Jokowi will meet cadres, volunteers, community leaders and traditional leaders. This will be a momentum to strengthen togetherness and maintain communication with the community,” he said.
第一天，佐科威计划直接前往梅苏吉县参加PSI地区协调会议（Rakorda）。
随后，他继续前往图朗霸王县出席PSI协调会议并会见党干部。
The series of activities on the first day closed with the Cultural Parade Carnival which featured the Elephant Carnival and was attended by thousands of participants wearing traditional Lampung clothing.
Entering the second day, Saturday (27/6/2026), Jokowi will attend a traditional procession at Kedaton Keagungan Lampung and receive honorary titles from the five traditional kingdoms of Lampung.
He is also scheduled to attend the Bandar Lampung City PSI Coordination Meeting, meet volunteers, visit the Transmigration Museum in Pesawaran Regency, greet the people of Bagelen Village, and visit the MSME center and Lampung Gajah Padepokan.
Meanwhile, on the last day, Sunday (28/6/2026), Jokowi will take part in the Cultural Carnival in East Lampung, staying in touch with students and ulama at a number of Islamic boarding schools before returning to Jakarta.

伊万认为，选择楠榜作为政治考察的第一个地区有其意义。
“Lampung is the first province visited on this political safari. Of course this is a matter of pride and shows that Lampung has a strategic position in building national communication,” he said.
尽管这次访问在 2029 年选举之前引发了各种政治猜测，PSI证实，佐科威的议程并未讨论应对五年政治竞争的策略。
伊万还强调，佐科维的议程更多地关注国家巩固，而不是讨论选举政治。
“我们希望公众看到，这项活动更多的是为了加强友谊、倾听人们的愿望、保持团结精神。没有特别议程来讨论 2029 年选举的准备工作，”他说。
