Reporting from the Daily Mail, Iran’s national team coach, Amir Ghalenoi also asked all the Iranian diaspora and people to unite in providing support for the match against New Zealand.

“We are here to put on a good match, a high-quality match. We don’t pay attention to all the hype and things that are happening around us,” Ghalenoei said.
“Of course, all teams have their own problems, and in many countries, things happen that have nothing to do with football.”
“Our team represents the honorable people of Iran, both Iranians within the country and the Iranian diaspora.”
“We are not political people, football is separate from politics,” added Ghalenoei.
Recently, political tensions between the United States and Iran have begun to decrease, considering that there is a process towards a peace agreement.

Initially, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, had planned to attack Iran.
However, several world figures, such as the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir then convinced Trump to change his decision.
