JEMBER, KOMPAS.com – 任抹摄政区的经济在 2026 年第一季度增长了 6.35%，这一数字与去年同期相比有所增长。
Apart from that, this figure is the highest in the Sekar Kijang area and exceeds economic growth in East Java (Jatim) and nationally.
根据任抹县中央统计局（BPS）的数据，任抹的经济增长率高于东爪哇省的5.96％和全国的5.61％。
In the Sekar Kijang area, Jember’s economic growth was also higher than Banyuwangi which grew 6.14 percent, Lumajang 5.89 percent, Situbondo 5.50 percent, and Bondowoso 5.42 percent.

Head of BPS Jember, Peni Dwi Wahyu Winarsih, said that the agricultural sector was still the main support for the regional economy at the beginning of this year.

Apart from agriculture, the processing industry contributed growth of 1.45 percent, trade 0.89 percent, and information and communication 0.72 percent.
According to Peni, the performance of the agricultural sector was driven by increased production of food crops, especially rice and corn.
Rice production in the first quarter of this year was recorded to have increased by around 27 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
Relatively supportive weather conditions with high rainfall are considered to help plant growth thereby increasing crop yields.

Not only food crops, the livestock sector has also experienced an increase in production.
Peni explained that the high demand for chicken meat and eggs to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program also encouraged livestock production activities.
Meanwhile in the fisheries sector, sea fish catches at the beginning of this year also increased compared to the first quarter of 2025.
Furthermore, Peni said that increasing agricultural production and the processing industry had an impact on the trade sector.
The increase in the volume of commodities being marketed means that distribution activities and community economic turnover also increase.
